Jodi's Education Assistance is an A+ Properties community initiative created to support promising school learners whose education is being limited by financial circumstances at home. Support is considered individually, within the programme's available budget and resources.
Ability Should Not Be Limited Simply Because a Family Cannot Afford Every School Need
At A+ Properties, we believe a business should contribute to the community that supports it. Jodi's Education Assistance focuses on learners who show academic effort or potential but face practical educational barriers because of their household's financial circumstances.
The programme is intentionally selective because A+ Properties is a private business with limited community-support resources. We would rather provide meaningful assistance to a smaller number of learners than promise help that cannot be sustained.
Each nomination is considered on its own facts. Meeting the published guidelines does not automatically guarantee acceptance, and support may differ from one learner to another depending on need, available funding and what would make the greatest practical difference.
Practical Support That Helps a Learner Participate and Progress
Assistance is based on the learner's actual needs and the programme's available resources. Support may include one or more of the following:
School Essentials
School uniforms, stationery or other reasonable educational items where these are creating a barrier to participation.
Academic Support
Tutoring or learning support where additional academic assistance would materially help the learner.
Sport & Participation
Reasonable sports clothing or participation support where school activities form part of the learner's development.
Mentorship
Encouragement, practical mentorship and exposure to responsible working and business environments where appropriate.
The programme may provide career guidance, mentorship and, where suitable opportunities exist in future, consideration for work experience or employment. Participation in the programme is not a guarantee of employment, and any future opportunity remains subject to age, legal requirements, role availability and suitability.
Programme Guidelines
A nomination is more likely to be considered where the learner meets most of the following guidelines. These are assessment guidelines rather than an automatic entitlement to assistance.
The learner comes from a household or community where financial circumstances are materially limiting access to ordinary educational needs.
A teacher, school representative or other appropriate person can explain how financial circumstances are affecting the learner's progress or participation.
The learner should demonstrate consistent effort, a constructive attitude toward school and a reasonable academic record. A 60% average may be used as a general programme benchmark, but circumstances can be considered individually.
Preference may be given to learners attending school in or near the community in which they live, supporting the programme's local-community focus.
The learner and guardian should be willing to communicate with the programme, use assistance for its intended purpose and support reasonable educational and behavioural expectations appropriate to the learner's age and school environment.
From Nomination to a Decision
Nominate
A parent, guardian, educator or community member submits enough information for A+ Properties to understand why the learner should be considered.
Initial Review
We assess whether the nomination appears to fit the programme's purpose and whether assistance is realistically available.
Verify
Where a nomination progresses, we may ask for guardian consent, school confirmation, academic information or other limited information needed to assess the application.
Decide & Support
Successful applicants are advised what support can be provided, for what period and what reasonable participation expectations apply.
Support Is Reviewed, Not Assumed Forever
Where assistance continues over time, A+ Properties may periodically review the learner's circumstances, academic participation, use of the support provided and the programme's available budget.
If problems arise, the programme should first seek to understand the circumstances and, where appropriate, engage with the learner, guardian or school. Continued assistance can be adjusted, paused or ended where support is no longer being used for its intended purpose, the learner no longer meets the programme's reasonable participation requirements, or the programme no longer has the resources to continue.
Decisions should be made case by case, with the learner's welfare, dignity and educational interests treated seriously.
A Child's Information Should Be Handled With Extra Care
A nomination may involve personal information about a child, including school information and academic records. Please do not submit unnecessary sensitive information. Where additional information is needed, A+ Properties should obtain the appropriate consent or authority and use the information only for assessing and administering the programme.
- A parent or legal guardian should know that the learner is being nominated.
- Do not publish or send a child's ID number, medical information or other unnecessary sensitive details through a general website form.
- Academic records should be supplied only where requested and through the process specified by A+ Properties.
- A+ Properties should not publish a learner's name, photograph, school results or personal story without appropriate permission.

Know a Learner Who Could Benefit?
If you believe a learner fits the purpose of Jodi's Education Assistance, submit a nomination with enough information for us to understand the situation. A nomination can come from a parent, guardian, educator or other responsible community member.
- Your name and contact details.
- The learner's name, grade and general residential area.
- The school and an appropriate educator or school contact where available.
- A short explanation of the educational need and why the learner should be considered.
- Confirmation that the learner's parent or guardian is aware of the nomination.
Do not upload a child's full academic record or other sensitive personal information unless the programme specifically requests it after the initial nomination.
When the central A+ Properties enquiry form is updated, these links will carry the reason and source so the submission can be identified immediately.
